Anacapri’s iconic cliffside hotel.
Child-friendly. Kids under 10 aren’t allowed, and the hotel’s antiques and original artworks (not to mention innumerable steps) might keep parents of older kids on edge.
Prince Emmanuel Bulhak of Russia purchased this gorgeous cliffside property in 1900 for its iconic views and blissful Anacapri location. Converted to a hotel by the Signorini family following WWII, those are still its principal draws—plus restful rooms and a warm and inviting staff. The look here is typical Capri style: simple, airy interiors, white and pale-blue linens and beachy sand-orange tiles. Many rooms feature antiques, and almost all come with private balconies from which to enjoy the hotel’s unparalleled vistas. The best views are from the suites, particularly the Tiberio, with its walk-in jacuzzi. Outside the rooms, three terraces offer fantastic belvederes for evening aperitivi, and the double-decker infinity pool is spectacular.
You want a picture-perfect hotel for a romantic stay, away from the bustle of Capri Town, but a place that’s also unpretentious and quietly elegant.
You come back to the Farouk Suite—so named because the Egyptian king used it as a home away from home in the 1950’s—after a day exploring the island. The concierge has arranged for a cold bottle of Champagne, scented candles and a host of petals to be strewn across the bathroom. You can’t wait to share the stunning view with your loved one.
La Terrazza di Lucullo - Mediterranean cuisine made with the freshest local fish and organic fuit and vegetables grown in the hotel's kitchen garden and lemon groves
La Terrazza di Augusto - Bar is open from 11.00 to 24.00 and is located next to the lobby. The bar service is available on both the main terrace and the Terrazza del Tramonto (sunset terrace). Live music is played every evening between 18.00 and 24.00, and can be heard in the bar and on the main terrace. For those who prefer the silence, we recommend the Terrazza del Tramonto. A bar menu of sweet and savory snacks is served between 15.00 and 18.00. A selection of Mediterranean sushi, oysters and caviar, accompanied by the finest champagne, is served between 18.30 and 23.00.
